The film is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli with Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone attached as producer via Square Peg, A24 is on board to produce the film, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson have been cast in lead roles. In October 2024, Mamoudou Athie and Alana Haim joined the cast.
