V. S. Babu is an Indian politician from Tamil Nadu.[1] He is a former member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Purasawalkam Assembly constituency in the 2006 election.

Career

He won the 2006 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election representing the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party.[2] On 7 February 2026, he joined Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam and was nominated to contest against former chief minister M. K. Stalin in the Kolathur constituency in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election.[3][4][5] He won in the constituency with 82997 votes (with a winning margin of 8795+).
