Jesse Shaun Derry (born 30 June 2007) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Chelsea and is an England under-19 international.[2][3]

Club career

Derry was in the youth academy at Crystal Palace and was named Palace’s U-18s player of the season in 2023–24 after scoring 16 goals in 22 appearances.[4] He was offered a new contract by the club, prior to joining Chelsea in 2025 on a four-year contract.[5][6]

As a second-half substitute, Derry debuted for Chelsea on 13 February 2026 during the 4–0 victory against Hull City in the FA Cup fourth round.[7] A few months later, on 4 May, he made his debut in the Premier League, starting against Nottingham Forest.[8] However, he was forced off the field before half-time after suffering a head injury in a head-on-head collision with Zach Abbott and was later hospitalized as a precaution.[9][10]
